The Decentralized Calendar (DECAL) protocol is a blockchain-based system designed to track time in a decentralized manner. It allows for the creation of a shared, universal calendar that can be accessed and updated by anyone, anywhere in the world
DECAL is based on a new calendar system that uses cycles of 30 decentralized years (dYears). Each dYear has 360 days, divided into 12 dMonths of 30 days each. Each dMonth is further divided into 5 dWeeks of 6 days each. Each dDay is divided into 12 Hermes Secunds (HS), and each HS is divided into 60 Binutes. One Binute is equivalent to 1.2 traditional seconds.
DECAL simplifies timekeeping by introducing the Binute as a new unit of time, which is based on the binary system. This new unit makes the calculation of time more intuitive and precise, and it allows for more efficient and accurate timekeeping in decentralized systems.
DECAL is designed to be a universal calendar system that can be used by anyone, anywhere in the world. It is resistant to manipulation and tampering, and it provides a transparent and secure way to track time. By using the DECAL protocol, the Time 2.0 project aims to create a new standard for timekeeping that is decentralized, transparent, and secure..
